Atlantic City Boardwalk Holocaust Memorial final 6
Atlantic City Boardwalk Holocaust Memorial final 6

This memorial has real windows, collected for symbolizing various times, places, civilizations and pieces of the world. These are presented as simple and abstract openings on exterior. This process reveals hidden mechanism, our time cannot exist except for the fact that it has been standing on various races, regions, civilizations or victims of them.

To arrange the windows opening to the inside instead of originally opening direction to the outside, is folding the pieces of the world up into its inside. That makes turning outside to inside and the place "outside of the world" in a sense.
After all, the scene from the windows is not only the outside of the memorial but also the inside as the world that surrounding the memorial.

We hope this pavilion to be the place, we-ourselves think of what we can see, yet, we must see through the "windows" symbolize various times, places or civilizations. At the same time, we must not forget that we are observed by the pieces of the world through the windows.
This memorial is not only the place of prayer for particular cases but also is the place we take a broad view of think and consider the world, further more, consider how we-human beings should be.
